The infrastructure reform program emphasises the need to increase information sharing amongst staff within works agencies and also the private sector.
A focus for the information sharing will be best practice in the areas of delivery mechanisms; project planning, management and packaging; contracting strategies; risk sharing and reward; and the development of people’s skills.
Information sharing tools will be developed for practitioners including the dissemination of professional papers and knowledge sharing sessions.
A heavy emphasis will be placed on the need for skills development and training to assist with the retention and recruitment of works professionals.
